Join The Team as a Full-Time Speech Pathologist - Community-Based Role in Brisbane
A respected NDIS provider is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join their team full-time, servicing the South and South West suburbs of Brisbane.
About the Role:
- Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Provide evidence-based interventions to children and adults, helping to maximise their function, capacity, and social engagement.
- Educate patients and families about speech disorders, their causes, and the available treatments.
- Maintain detailed records of patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
- Collaborate with family members, teachers, and medical professionals to share updates and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct assessments and trials for high-tech AAC communication devices.
- Participate in community outreach activities to support and empower patients.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you should:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related role.
- Hold a Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle as this is a community-based role
- Be willing to tailor treatment plans to suit the diverse needs of patients.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments.
- Have excellent coaching, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Be proficient with patient management systems and healthcare databases.
- Have experience with NDIS processes (preferred but not required).
- Exhibit care, adaptability, analytic skills, and resourcefulness.
