The Medacs Healthcare Mental Health Team are currently looking for experienced contract Mental Health Nurses to join our fast-growing team here in Auckland.
For this role, our Client is looking for an experienced Child Mental Health Nurse for a 12-week full time contract. You will only be required to work Monday to Friday, hours will be discussed at interview stage however; they will range between the hours of 0800-1800 and no weekend work, which means you can spend this time with your family & friends. There may be an opportunity to extend this contract later, however if the Client no longer needs this extra support, we will have plenty of other contracting opportunities available for you.
This Client has two facilities, one based in East Auckland and the other in South Auckland, thus you will be required to occasionally work at either location. However, when you first start this role, you will be initially booked into one or the other. These two specialist mental health services provide a variety of specialised treatment options for children and adolescence with mental health problems.
This Client is our biggest and most supportive client in Auckland. As well as having high tech facilities, they are well known for offering the best support/trainings to all candidates whether they are agency staff or not.
Duties & responsibilities:
The successful candidate will step in and support children, young people and their families/whaanau when the Community Team are no longer able to manage the mental health concerns of these patients. You will need to help children and adolescents with significant concerns such as behavioural difficulties, psychological problems and emotional distress which would require urgent support and assist potential service users to access treatment or support from other providers if needed.
