Registered Nurse - Corrections Facility

Medacs Healthcare is looking for a Registered Nurse with a background in community, practice or acute care for an exciting opportunity in central Auckland.

The Role:

The core of what you will do is providing primary care to service users including emergency treatment, medication administration for long term diseases such as diabetes, drug and alcohol dependency and general illnesses.

Key Requirements:

• Must be New Zealand Registered Nurse or Mental Health Nurse - https://www.nursingcouncil.org.nz/ or be eligible to apply
• Have at least 12-months NZ Mental Health Nursing Experience (or comparative Healthcare Systems) or 6-months NZ Mental Health experience post CAP course completion
• Post-Grad Certificate in Mental Health would be advantageous
• Knowledge of mental health issues, pharmacology & treatment interventions
• Be willing to undergo pre-employment occupational health checks
