Job summary

Our Clients are looking for experienced Community Mental Health Nurses to join their team of healthcare staff to work full time or part time contracts here in Central Auckland. Our Mental Health Contracts range from 2-6 months in length and are usually extended further later. Our clients may also offer you a permanent opportunity with them however, if you would like to stick to contract work only then there is no pressure to take the permanent role if it does not suit you and your lifestyle.

These Community Mental Health settings are based in Central Auckland, making the facilities easily accessible by car or public transport. These roles are Monday-Friday only 0800-1630 (no nights or weekends!) helping you achieve the work life balance you have been looking for. We can be flexible with an FTE of 0.6 or 1.0.

We are currently seeking candidates for x2 of our client's state of the art Community Mental Health facilities for Adults. Common conditions in patients may include; anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar/manic depression and Schizophrenia so experience in Community Mental Health is a must. You will be supported by other Mental Health professionals during your time working in these facilities including Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists and Doctors

Essential Skills & Experience needed:

  • Hold a Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with the NZ Nursing Council
  • Must have a Post Grad Mental Health Certification or a Psychiatric Nursing Certification or proven Community Mental Health experience
  • Evidence of Indemnity Insurance
  • Ability to obtain verbal references from two senior referees whom you have worked with in the last 2 years
  • A minimum of 1 years Mental Health Nursing experience
  • Must be currently in New Zealand with the appropriate Right to work - Right to work in NZ essential
  • Must be double vaccinated against Covid-19
  • Be willing to undergo pre-employment occupational health checks
  • Must hold a valid and in date Basic First aid or CPR certification
  • Have a positive energy, enthusiastic attitude, team focused

Welcomed extras

  • Have experience in administering and IMI administration
  • SPEC training certification
