ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are looking for Registered Nurse's to join our team of contract Clinical Educators to help cover a wide range of contracts across Auckland (Central, North Shore & West Auckland).
This unique role gives you the chance to assist the new generation of Student Nurses on their Clinical placements as well as helping to mark their modules. Types of Nursing areas you may cover will range from, Aged Care, Surgical, Medical, Mental Health, and more! You may be asked to assist in Hospital & Community settings and on rare occasions helping student Nurses with home visit placements too.
We are currently recruiting for Semester 2 clinical placements which will take place from July - November 2023. Ideally you will be available to assist over the full Semester.
Working as part of the Medacs contracting team, you will take on part time or full time contracts throughout term time for our various University clients which are usually 3-6 weeks at a time and you will be allocated a caseload of students to supervise.
Working in the Medacs Healthcare contracting team is highly rewarding and is a great way to keep your clinical skills updated and varied. You may work independently to manage a caseload of service users; however you will gain support from your colleagues, manager and others within the multi-disciplinary team.
Expectations:
Undertake comprehensive and accurate risk assessment of patients, work in partnership with patients, families and other health professionals involved to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate top level care, promote the safety of patients providing independence, quality of life & good health, have the ability to build and maintain therapeutic relationships, have a high level of verbal and written communication skills, have high negotiation and problem solving skills, be able to work independently and at times and be able to remain calm to ensure the Student Nurses also remain calm during placements.
