Registered Nurse - Paediatrician

Job Summary

Medacs Healthcare are seeking Paediatric Nurses to support our client in Auckland. We are looking for 3 - 4 Nurses who will fulfil gaps in the roster and provide consistency for patients and staff.

You will have the chance to work in a unique and rewarding children's hospital environment. You will be allocated to a ward based on your skills and experience so having Hospital experience is highly advantageous however an orientation can be arranged for the right candidate.

This Central Auckland role is easily accessible by Bus, Train, Car or Bicycle. Currently, we're needing Nurses who can commit to regular shifts over the next 2 -3 months, with an option to extend. Whether you can work 1 day per week or 5 days per week throughout the next few months, we will try to accommodate your shift, day, and time preferences.

Your duties will include assisting in the smooth running of the wards by providing compassionate care and support to your allocated patients, provide medication, documentation, updating and advising patients and their families regarding any progression or regression of their loved one's condition, good teamwork and communicating with other healthcare professionals and discharging of patients.

Essential Skills & Requirements

• Right to work in NZ essential
• Have at least 2 years NZ Nursing Experience
• Current clean Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with the NZ Nursing Council
• Current CPR, Basic Life Support or First Aid Certification
• Be able to provide the details of x2 past Clinical Managers who can discuss the last 2 years of your Nursing experience.
• Have a kind and empathetic nature plus a strong commitment to providing quality care
• Current Indemnity Insurance (NZNO Registration)
• Be willing to undergo pre-employment occupational health checks
