Medacs is currently looking for COVID Clinicians to help support our client across the Covid Clinical, Covid Vaccinations and Covid Inbound service lines to deliver essential Telehealth Triage support and provide Covid related advice to people across New Zealand. This role will be providing you the opportunity to work from home and will be working in a virtual environment. It involves navigating through multiple systems at one time while communicating with service users virtually.

You will be fully supported as there are clinical guidelines and systems in place to assist you in this role and you will have an extensive 2-week training and orientation which will enable you to be successful working remotely. A variety of roles are available; from part time (minimum of 0.4FTE, 0.4 FTE, 0.5 FTE, 0.6 FTE, 0.8 FTE, 1.0 FTE) to full time as well as short- and longer-term fixed contracts until June 2022.

Qualifications and Experience

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse with current Annual Practicing Certificate or Registered Paramedics
  • Minimum of 3 years post registration or pandemic clinical experience including primary care, acute care or triage assessment
  • Ideally experienced in clinical software systems
  • Experience in Paediatrics and Triage would be advantageous

  • Confident with technology and accurate typing skills
  • Ability to manage and de-escalate stressful situations effectively
  • Provide effective, clinically appropriate and supportive triage services to service users
  • Adaptable, reliable and resilient
  • Passionate about all aspects of service delivery and service user well being
  • Ability to work effectively with people from a range of different cultures
  • Promotes the improvement of health outcomes with an understanding of our population health outcomes, specifically the Maori and Pacifica communities

Technology Requirements

  • A working laptop or desktop. Chromebook and iPads are not suitable
  • Must have either Fibre or VDSL internet with at least 256 GB data per month. 4G mobile connection through phone or router is not suitable
  • Required to have a Smartphone or Tablet with Android or Apple iOS to download an app in order to set up systems and software before training
