Registered Nurse - Urgent Care

About the role:

We have opportunities available for experienced Emergency Department nurses to support a network of public hospitals and GP urgent-care clinics located in North Shore. This position will allow you to pick up flexible shifts as and when suits your schedule. The role will be ideal for someone wanting flexibility and work-life balance.

No two days will be the same. You will be working in a quick decision-making environment, where you will utilise your nursing judgement to assess health needs and support people to manage their health, in an emergency setting.

Location: North Shore

Shifts: AM, PM, NIGHT (work around your availability)

Responsibilities:

• Triaging patients
• Provide key nursing duties including wound care, dressings, and plastering
• Medications and vaccinations
• Provide one on one advice to patients
• Keeping up to date with patient documentation

Key Requirements:

• At least 12-24 months NZ Clinical Nursing experience 6-months NZ experience post CAP course completion
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with the NZ Nursing Council
• Current CPR, Basic Life Support or First Aid Certification
• Current indemnity insurance (NZNO Registration)
• Smear taking or vaccinator experience would be beneficial
• Intravenous Fluid Certificate (desirable)
• Use of MedTech 32 of MedTech Evolution (or similar) would be an advantage
• Be willing to undergo pre-employment occupational health checks
• Fully vaccinated again COVID-19
