Medacs Healthcare is urgently recruiting for a Registered Nurse with a background in mental health for an exciting opportunity in central Auckland.

The Role:

The core of what you will do is provide a comprehensive range of mental health nursing services including triage, assessment and treatment based on best practice in the delivery of health services within a multi-disciplinary team.

You will manage your own patient load and work closely with your patients to develop a system to support their recovery. Types of areas and conditions may include, but are not limited to; moderate to severe mental health illnesses, eating disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar/manic depression disorders, schizophrenia, recovery, psychotic mood disorders, personality disorders etc.

The Person:

  • Must be New Zealand Registered Nurse or Mental Health Nurse - or be eligible to apply
  • Have at least 12-months NZ Mental Health Nursing Experience (or comparative Healthcare Systems) or 6-months NZ Mental Health experience post CAP course completion
  • Post-Grad Certificate in Mental Health would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of mental health issues, pharmacology & treatment interventions
  • Australian/New Zealand Residency or be eligible to apply for a work visa
