Clinical Nurse Educator

The Opportunity

Medacs Healthcare has partnered with a variety Universities to provide casual Clinical Educators for their placement rosters.

We have an exciting opportunities, during the year, for you to utilise your skills and experience by developing Auckland's student Nurses. You will be part of a respected tertiary education facility who are passionate about developing the next generation of NZ nurses. You will be working with Nursing students, whilst they attend their clinical placement, guiding and assessing the students based on clinical competencies. The placements range from 4-6 weeks.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working as a Clinical Educator is a valuable career experience, especially useful if you are looking to move into academia or want a new challenge. This is a great opportunity to use the extensive nursing knowledge you have built up throughout your career, in order to coach and inspire new nurses.

An experienced team of academic lecturers will support and orientate you within the role, and training is provided.

Details of Placement

Due to the fact that this is an expression of interest, you can apply and work on an Clinical Educator assignment when it suits your schedule. Therefore, details will be confirmed once you have signed on for a particular assignment

Skills & Experience

• At least 3 years NZ Nursing Experience
• Will consider Nurses from all specialties
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with the NZ Nursing Council
• Available for four weeks from end of April

Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
