Registered Nurse - Surgical

The Opportunity

Due to the increase in elective surgery demand post COVID-19 lockdown Medacs has partnered with a variety of prestigious private surgical facilities who are currently needing experienced Registered Nurses to help with their staff shortages. With Medacs, you have the control to be flexible around your availability with Monday to Friday shifts available.

As a Registered Nurse you will be required to:

• Collaborate to provide timely, proficient, patient-centred services for all patients
• Provide healthcare support to patients and their whanau within a MDT
• Work within a supportive team
• Be Responsible for Medication Administration and Clinical Documentation
• Supervision of Health Care Assistants and Enrolled Nurses

Skills

• At least 12-months NZ Surgical Nursing experience or 6-months NZ experience post CAP course completion
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with the NZ Nursing Council
• Intravenous Fluid Certificate (desirable)
• Current CPR, Basic Life Support or First Aid Certification
