Mental Health Registered Nurse - Forensics

Medacs Healthcare is partnering with a Prison Service who is seeking Mental Health Registered Nurse and Alcohol and Other Drugs Social Workers

These roles will see you working in either male or female prisons delivering mental health services which enhances and promotes the health of people in prison through evidenced base, comprehensive and professional nursing or social work care within a prison setting and to assist in the prevention and management of people in prison who are at risk of self-harm or suicide.

These roles are suitable for Nurses or Socials Workers also coming from comparable healthcare countries and the 482 visa and relocation assistance is on offer.

• Shepparton - VIC
• Castlemaine - VIC
• Ballarat - VIC
• Beechworth - VIC

The below roles are available

• Primary Mental Health Nurse - Male / Female Prison
• Mental Health Nurse Team Leader

Relocation and visa info:

• International Relocation Offering - AUD$10k (capped relocation expenses).
• Visa 482 - After two years of service they would support with your 186 Permanent residency.
• 2 weeks of car hire on arrival
• Accommodation on arrival

Necessary requirements:

• Qualified Registered Nurse, with current AHPRA Registration - or ability to obtain.
• Professional qualifications in Mental Health (Post Grad) and a minimum of 12 months experience working in mental health over the previous 3 years
• Minimum three years of postgraduate clinical experience as a registered nurse - Team leader role only
• Previous Team Leader experience in Mental Health - Team leader role only
• Previous experience working in a prion setting is considered an advantage.
