Medacs Healthcare is offering multiple locum opportunities for dedicated Mental Health Clinicians to join Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) across regional locations. Your Role
As a CYMHS Mental Health Clinician (Mental Health Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist), you'll provide comprehensive assessment, therapeutic support, and case management for young people navigating mental health challenges. You'll work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver culturally sensitive, evidence-based care tailored to each community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop individualised care plans
- Deliver therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and families
- Collaborate with schools, community organisations, and healthcare providers
- Promote early intervention and recovery-oriented approaches
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service improvement
About You
- Tertiary qualifications and professional registration with AHPRA or AASW
- 2-3+ years Experience supporting young people in mental health settings
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
- Cultural competency and respect for diverse communities
- Willingness to travel and work in regional or remote areas
- Full working rights in Australia
