We are seeking a passionate and qualified Exercise Physiologist to deliver high-quality care within the Mental Health Inpatient Unit (MHIPU) and Mental Health Prevention and Rehabilitation Centre in regional NSW.
This role is pivotal in supporting consumers with severe mental illness through tailored exercise programs that enhance recovery and wellbeing. You'll work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical decisions, service development, and education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centred care and clinical advice in line with best practice and NSQHS standards.
- Assess, treat, and support consumers using exercise as a therapeutic tool.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external services to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in continuous improvement and professional development.
- Provide education and training to mental health clinicians and GPs.
About You
You are an accredited Exercise Physiologist with:
- A Bachelor or Master's degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology.
- Experience working with consumers with mental illness.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to quality improvement and professional growth.
