Senior Mental Health Clinician - Safeguards (CAMHS)

🕒 Full‑time - 38 hours per week
📅 ASAP start | 12‑week contract

We're looking for an experienced Mental Health Clinician to step into a Safeguards Child & Adolescent Mental Health role supporting children and young people aged 0-17 years presenting in acute mental health distress.

This is a great short‑term opportunity for a senior clinician who enjoys working in fast‑paced, high‑impact environments and wants to make a real difference for young people and their families.

Who we're keen to hear from

We'll consider applications from:

• Registered Nurses (Mental Health)
• Clinical Nurse Specialists - Grade 2
  (relevant postgraduate qualification required)
• Allied Health Clinicians - Level 3
  (Psychology, Social Work, OT or similar)

What you'll be doing

• Completing mental health and risk assessments
• Providing brief, evidence‑based therapeutic interventions
• Case managing children and adolescents in crisis
• Supporting families and carers through acute presentations
• Working closely with multidisciplinary and acute care teams
• Delivering trauma informed, developmentally appropriate care

What you'll need

✅ Minimum 2 years' mental health case management experience
✅ Experience working with children and adolescents
✅ Strong understanding of acute mental health presentations
✅ Current AHPRA registration or relevant professional registration
✅ NSW Working With Children Check
✅ Ability to hit the ground running in a Safeguards environment
