Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff across all ED shifts
- Oversee clinical operations and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
- Manage staffing, rostering, and resource allocation
- Drive quality improvement and evidence‑based practice initiatives
- Support staff development through coaching and professional growth opportunities
About the Emergency Department
- 2 Resuscitation bays
- 11 acute cubicles
- 6‑bed Emergency Medical Unit (EMU)
- Approx. 80-100 presentations per day (around 30,000 annually)
- ~15% admission rate
- Leadership of 50 FTE nursing staff, plus administrative support
What We're Looking For
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse - Or eligibility to obtain.
- Experience as an ED Nurse Unit Manager
- Quality and Safety/Policy and Procedure/Clinical Governance experience - essential
- Substantial emergency or acute care nursing experience
- 3+ years of management experience - Essential
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications (desirable)
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Salary & Benefits
Salary: $130,203 - $136,295 per annum Plus 12% employer superannuation contribution
Additional benefits include:
