Medacs Healthcare is partnering with a range of public hospitals, community mental health services and specialised programs across Western Australia to recruit experienced Mental Health Nurses for community and inpatient locum and contract roles.

Whether your background is in acute inpatient care, community case management, or rural and remote mental health services, we have opportunities to match your skills, preferences and availability.

About the Roles

We are currently recruiting Mental Health Nurses for a variety of settings, including:

Community Mental Health

• Adult, youth and older persons services
• Crisis, triage and outreach teams
• Case management and care coordination
• Alcohol & Other Drugs and co-occurring disorders
• Rural and remote community-based services

Inpatient Mental Health

• Acute adult mental health units
• High dependency and secure units
• Rehabilitation and sub-acute services
• Emergency mental health and short stay units

Contracts range from 4-12 weeks, with ongoing opportunities available.

What We're Looking For

✅ AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
✅ Mental Health nursing experience (community and/or inpatient)
✅ Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health (desirable / required for some roles)
✅ Strong risk assessment, therapeutic engagement and documentation skills
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
✅ Previous regional or remote experience (highly regarded, not essential)
