About the Role

We are seeking experienced Chefs / Cooks to work in remote aged care facilities, supporting residents across Indigenous and regional communities. This is an opportunity to combine meaningful work with the unique lifestyle benefits of remote Australia.

You will work independently and proactively, delivering nutritious, high‑quality meals while immersing yourself in rich culture and stunning outback landscapes.

Core Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals for residents in line with approved weekly menus and standard recipes
• Deliver meals that meet required presentation standards and service timelines, ensuring food quality, freshness, and safety
• Correctly store, label, and rotate food supplies in accordance with HACCP guidelines
• Adhere to all food safety legislation, aged care standards, and internal facility policies
• Prepare meals to meet individual dietary needs and texture modifications, including diabetic, high/low protein, gluten‑free, and coeliac requirements, as specified in resident Care Plans
• Carry out daily kitchen responsibilities efficiently in line with rostered duties and shift expectations
• Support the kitchen team with additional duties as directed by the Head Chef or Residential Services Manager
• Ensure ongoing compliance with all Aged Care Standards, regulatory guidelines, and workplace policies

Position Requirements

• Formal trade qualification or extensive practical experience demonstrating competent culinary skills
• Current First Aid Certificate
• NDIS Clearance
• Proven experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
• Ability and willingness to live and work in remote locations for the duration of the contract
