About the Role:
In this vital position, you will support individuals facing mental health challenges, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and make a positive impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive mental health nursing care within acute inpatient settings
- Conduct mental state assessments and risk assessments
- Administer and monitor medications in accordance with legislation and policy
- Manage challenging behaviours using de‑escalation and therapeutic engagement
- Support consumers during acute episodes and crisis situations
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively with medical, allied health, and support staff
- Uphold professional standards, clinical governance, and safety protocols
To be considered for this role:
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing
- General Registration with AHPRA
- A minimum of 2 years recent post grad experience working in a Mental Health setting (across community or Inpatient setting) RNs and ENs included
- Commitment to complete required onboarding requirements which may include up to date vaccinations
- Proven ability to manage acute presentations and behavioural disturbances
- Strong communication, assessment, and time‑management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt to new environments quickly
- Flexible dates of availability
- Have full Australian working rights
