Join the dynamic Emergency Department in Tasmania. This ED delivers care across the full spectrum-from minor presentations to complex trauma and critical emergencies.
You will collaborate closely with Ambulance Tasmania, inpatient teams, and community providers to ensure safe, timely, and patient-focused care. The department prides itself on strong teamwork, progressive thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
About the Role
As an endorsed Nurse Practitioner, you will operate autonomously within the Emergency Department, delivering advanced clinical care including comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management within your approved scope of practice.
Beyond clinical responsibilities, you will play a key leadership role-supporting education, mentoring staff, contributing to service innovation, and driving quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and department flow.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with Nurse Practitioner endorsement - ESSENTIAL
- Extensive and recent Emergency Department experience
- Advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and decision-making capability
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- A commitment to education, service development, and improving patient outcomes

- Permanent full-time position (up to 76 hours per fortnight, flexible arrangements considered)
- Salary: $148,470 per annum + 12% superannuation
- Additional allowances, including up to 10% Postgraduate Qualification Allowance
