We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Officer to support the upkeep and functionality of our facility. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for a variety of general maintenance tasks, ensuring our environment remains safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Reporting to the Manager, you will carry out a range of duties including minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general facility upkeep
- Complete routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and unexpected issues
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and escalate major concerns
- Work cooperatively with onsite staff to support smooth operations
Requirements
- Formal Trade Qualifications or practical work experience, demonstrating basic trade skills
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in building/ site maintenance preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of the understanding of chemical Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and associated safety precautions
- Demonstrated experience of hand tools, equipment and safety
