About the Role
As the Nurse Practitioner (Wound Care), you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership to deliver and evolve a specialist wound care service within a primary health setting. You'll work autonomously and collaboratively to improve patient outcomes while driving evidence-based practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering advanced assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex and chronic wounds
- Leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of wound care services
- Making independent clinical decisions within scope, including initiating treatments and investigations
- Partnering with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, patient-centred care
- Driving quality improvement, research, and innovation in clinical practice
- Acting as a mentor, educator, and clinical leader across the service
- Supporting governance processes, clinical standards, and safety initiatives
About You
You are a confident and compassionate Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in wound care and a passion for improving community health outcomes.
You will bring:
- Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA - essential
- Demonstrated expertise in complex wound management
- Advanced clinical judgement and decision-making capability
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide others
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A commitment to culturally safe, inclusive, and patient-centred care
- Current driver's licence and willingness to work across community settings
What We Offer
- Salary: $148,470 + 12% superannuation
- Salary packaging up to $9,010 (living expenses) + $2,650 meals & entertainment
