Cook/Chef - Aged Care

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals in line with approved menus and resident dietary requirements.
• Maintain high standards of food presentation, quality, and consistency.
• Ensure food is stored, labelled, and rotated correctly in accordance with food safety guidelines.
• Cater for specialised dietary needs, including texture-modified, diabetic, gluten-free, and other prescribed meal plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
• Work closely with facility staff to ensure residents receive an enjoyable dining experience.
• Follow all food safety, aged care, and workplace health and safety requirements.

What You'll Need

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent industry experience.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to remote locations.
• Willingness to travel and commit to contract-based assignments.
