About the Role

As a Theatre Scrub Scout RN, you will play a key role in supporting surgical procedures across a range of specialties while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled Scrub Scout nursing support within the operating theatre
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and instrumentation
• Anticipate surgical team requirements throughout procedures
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Deliver high-quality patient-centred care throughout the perioperative journey

Essential Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Recent Theatre Scrub Scout experience
• Demonstrated competence in perioperative nursing practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced theatre environment
• National Police Check and relevant vaccination evidence (or willingness to obtain)
