An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Nurse to join a healthcare team in Thursday Island, QLD, working across both the Emergency Department and General Ward.

This contract is ideal for senior nurses with extensive acute care experience who are confident leading clinical care, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality patient outcomes in a rural and remote setting.

Essential Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Current appointment or experience as a Clinical Nurse
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an acute clinical setting
• Recent Emergency Department and/or General Ward experience
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
• Current Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Current Triage qualification
• Demonstrated leadership and clinical coordination skills
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
