Medacs Healthcare is seeking experienced Mental Health Registered Nurses interested in contract opportunities with the Virtual Psychiatry Hub (VPH) in Orange, NSW.

This is an onsite position in Orange, working within a virtual/telehealth mental health service on 12-hour shifts.

About the Opportunity

The role offers experienced Mental Health RNs the opportunity to use their clinical assessment, communication and mental health expertise in a different environment from traditional inpatient or community contracts.

Western NSW Local Health District covers a large geographical area and provides mental health services across metropolitan, regional and rural communities, with major rural referral hospitals at Orange, Dubbo and Bathurst.

This opportunity would particularly suit nurses with experience across areas such as:

• Mental health assessment and triage
• Community mental health
• Acute mental health
• Crisis assessment and intervention
• Inpatient mental health
• Telehealth or virtual models of care

About You

To be considered, you will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Mental health nursing experience
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Confidence communicating with consumers and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong risk assessment and care planning skills
• Current working rights in Australia
