As a senior UK Psychologist looking for work in NZ during a pandemic, I knew there would likely be a plethora of challenges, so I turned to agencies as I thought their knowledge and both their explicit and implicit investment in finding people work would be helpful. Whilst other agencies were stating that they were not taking on any new overseas applicants due to COVID or not following up on my emails after an initial response, Hayley from Medacs was responsive, attentive and individualised in her approach, finding me interviews to answering and confirming details, which was very reassuring, given the distance and current climate.

Medacs have been supplying Mental Health Nurses with the Wagga Wagga Mental Health team since April 2018. The service we receive has been outstanding and our requests are always dealt with timely and professionally. Our Medacs consultant took on board previous discussions we’ve had had about trying new things and produced a whole new location for us. We've felt supported. We have relationships with other agencies who touch base with us during our contract, but it they don’t have the same personal touch and I think it’s was more of a "ticking the box exercise" rather than a genuine interest into how we were are going.
