Medacs Healthcare is working closely with WA Health services, community mental health teams, and specialist programs across Western Australia to recruit experienced Mental Health Allied Health Professionals for locum contract roles in community settings.
These opportunities are available across Western Australia's regional and remote locations.
About the Roles
We are seeking Mental Health AHPs across a range of services, including:
Community Mental Health Services
- Adult, youth and older persons mental health
- Case management and care coordination
- Crisis response and outreach teams
- Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) and dual diagnosis services
- Aboriginal and remote community-based programs
Contract lengths typically range from 4 to 12 weeks, with extensions often available.
Eligible Disciplines
We welcome applications from:
- Social Workers
- Occupational Therapists
- Psychologists
(Discipline-specific requirements will vary by role and service.)
Essential Criteria
✅ Tertiary qualification in your allied health discipline
✅ Current AHPRA registration or relevant professional membership
✅ Mental health experience in community settings
✅ Strong assessment, communication and therapeutic engagement skills
✅ Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
✅ Experience in regional or remote settings (highly regarded)
