About the Role

As a Locum Mental Health Nurse, you'll work within supportive multidisciplinary teams across a range of services, including:

• Acute Mental Health Units
• Community Mental Health Services
• Crisis Assessment & Treatment Teams
• Rural and Remote Health Services
• Adult, Older Persons, and Child & Youth Mental Health Programs

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments
• Deliver recovery-focused and trauma-informed care
• Support consumers experiencing acute and ongoing mental health challenges
• Administer and monitor medications safely
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care plans

Essential Requirements

• Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Recent Mental Health Nursing experience
• Strong communication and assessment skills
• Ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams
• Current National Police Check and relevant clearances
