ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking experienced General Medical Registered Nurses for exciting contract opportunities across public hospitals throughout New South Wales.Whether you're looking for your next travel nursing adventure or want to gain experience in a new clinical environment, these contracts offer the opportunity to work within supportive multidisciplinary teams while providing high-quality patient care across a variety of medical wards.From coastal communities and country towns to vibrant regional centres, you'll have the chance to experience some of the best locations New South Wales has to offer while making a meaningful difference to patients and healthcare services in need.WHAT'S ON OFFER?* Competitive agency rates* Travel assistance provided* Accommodation provided for eligible contracts* Flexible contract lengths available* Opportunities across multiple NSW public hospitals* Weekly payroll* Dedicated consultant support throughout your assignment* Potential contract extensions* Opportunity to gain valuable experience across diverse healthcare settingsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES* Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult medical patients.* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.* Develop, implement and evaluate nursing care plans.* Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital policies.* Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration.* Provide patient education and discharge planning.* Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.* Adhere to infection control, patient safety and clinical governance requirements.* Promote positive patient outcomes through compassionate, person-centred care.ESSENTIAL CRITERIA* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.* Minimum 2 years' recent experience in an acute General Medical ward.* Demonstrated experience caring for a broad range of medical patients.* Ability to work across varying shifts including AM, PM and Night Duty.* Current BLS certification.* Strong clinical assessment and time management skills.* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.* Adaptability and confidence in new clinical environments.* Full working rights in Australia.HIGHLY DESIRABLE* ALS certification.* Experience within NSW Health facilities.* Competency in managing patients requiring cardiac monitoring.* Experience caring for patients with chronic and complex medical conditions.* Rural or regional nursing experience.* Triage or Emergency Department exposure.ABOUT YOUYou are a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment.
