Location: Central West Queensland

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Medacs Healthcare is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker for a locum contract in Central West Queensland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rural generalist setting, supporting diverse communities and gaining valuable experience in regional outreach.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

• Deliver high-quality social work services across a rural generalist caseload
• Travel 2-3 times per week to surrounding communities including Winton, Alpha, Barcaldine, and Blackall (always accompanied by another team member)
• Provide support across a range of clinical and community settings
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Hold a degree qualification in Social Work that is accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
• Eligibility for membership with the AASW
• Proven experience in a senior or autonomous social work role
• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel for outreach
• A passion for rural health and community engagement
• Valid right to work in Australia
